Event Terms & Conditions
By purchasing a ticket, registering for, sponsoring, exhibiting at, vending at, or attending any SYNDICATE AI SF & LA TECH WEEK, PITCHFEST 2026 EVENTS, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
If you are a sponsor, exhibitor, vendor, partner, or participating company, you may also receive a separate written agreement outlining your specific participation terms, deliverables, payment obligations, deadlines, and cancellation terms. In the event of a conflict between these general event terms and a fully executed sponsor, exhibitor, vendor, or partner agreement, the executed agreement will control for that specific participation.

1. Event Admission

Identification
A valid government-issued photo ID matching the ticket purchaser’s name and/or registered attendee name may be required for entry. SYNDICATE reserves the right to refuse entry if identification cannot be verified.

Entry Requirements
Admission is subject to event capacity, security screening, registration verification, venue rules, and compliance with all applicable event policies. Possession of a ticket or registration confirmation does not guarantee entry if an attendee violates these Terms & Conditions, fails to meet entry requirements, or presents a safety, security, or operational concern.

Right to Deny Entry or Remove Attendees

1. SYNDICATE reserves the right to deny entry or remove any individual from the event, without refund, if the individual:
 
  • Violates event policies or venue rules
  • Engages in disruptive, unsafe, threatening, discriminatory, or inappropriate behavior
  • Fails to follow instructions from event staff, security, venue personnel, or law enforcement
  • Attempts unauthorized access to restricted areas
  • Misuses event credentials, badges, wristbands, tickets, or registrations
  • Poses a security, health, operational, reputational, or legal risk to the event, attendees, sponsors, vendors, partners, or staff
     
2. Ticket Purchase, Refund, Cancellation & Transfer Policy

All Sales Final

All ticket purchases, registration fees, sponsorship fees, exhibitor fees, vendor fees, and other event-related purchases are final sale unless otherwise stated in writing by SYNDICATE.

Tickets and registrations are non-refundable for any reason, including but not limited to:
  • Inability to attend
  • Personal scheduling conflicts
  • Travel delays or cancellations
  • Illness or personal emergencies
  • Failure to obtain transportation, lodging, or required identification
  • Changes in your availability
  • Changes to event speakers, programming, schedule, activities, venue layout, sponsors, exhibitors, vendors, or participating companies
  • Dissatisfaction with the event experience after attendance
  • Failure to review event details, ticket terms, or participation requirements before purchase
     
No Refunds After Attendance or Check-In

Once you attend, check in, receive event credentials, participate in the event, or use any portion of your ticket, registration, sponsorship, exhibitor, vendor, or partner access, you are not eligible for a refund, credit, reversal, or chargeback based on your event experience or any other circumstance.

Non-Transferable Tickets
Tickets and registrations may only be used by the person named in the ticket purchase or registration record unless SYNDICATE provides written approval for a transfer.
Unauthorized resale, transfer, duplication, sharing, or attempted resale of tickets, badges, credentials, wristbands, or registrations is prohibited and may result in cancellation of the ticket or denial of entry without refund.

Event Credits or Transfers
SYNDICATE may, at its sole discretion, offer an event credit, transfer, or alternative accommodation in limited circumstances. Any credit, transfer, or accommodation must be approved in writing by SYNDICATE and is not guaranteed.

Refund Requests
Any refund, cancellation, billing, or registration question must be submitted directly to SYNDICATE before contacting your bank, credit card provider, or payment processor.

Please include your full name, email address used at purchase, event name, ticket type, and reason for the request.

Submitting a request does not guarantee a refund, credit, transfer, or cancellation approval.
Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

By completing a purchase, you agree to contact SYNDICATE directly to resolve any billing, refund, cancellation, ticketing, or event-related issue before filing a dispute or chargeback with your bank or card issuer.

If a chargeback or payment dispute is filed for a valid purchase, SYNDICATE reserves the right to provide evidence of the transaction, event terms, registration records, attendance records, communications, and any other relevant documentation to the payment processor, card network, or issuing bank.

3. Event Changes, Postponement, or Cancellation

Event Modifications

SYNDICATE reserves the right to modify, update, replace, or cancel any part of the event, including but not limited to:
 
  • Event schedule
  • Event date or time
  • Event location or venue
  • Speakers
  • Panels
  • Programming
  • Activities
  • Sponsors
  • Exhibitors
  • Vendors
  • Participating startups, investors, partners, or companies
  • Event format, layout, capacity, or access rules
     
SYNDICATE will make reasonable efforts to notify ticket holders of significant event changes in advance using the email address provided during registration.
Postponement or Rescheduling

If an event is postponed or rescheduled, your ticket or registration may be transferred to the new event date at SYNDICATE’s discretion. A postponed or rescheduled event does not automatically entitle the ticket holder to a refund unless required by applicable law or expressly stated in writing by SYNDICATE.

Event Cancellation

If SYNDICATE cancels an event in full and does not provide a replacement date, credit, transfer, or alternative accommodation, SYNDICATE may determine the appropriate resolution at its sole discretion, subject to applicable law and any written terms provided at the time of purchase.

4. Sponsor, Exhibitor, Vendor & Partner Participation

Sponsors, exhibitors, vendors, partners, and participating companies may be subject to additional terms, including but not limited to:
 
  • Payment deadlines
  • Booth or activation requirements
  • Deliverables
  • Setup and breakdown times
  • Insurance requirements
  • Branding guidelines
  • Venue rules
  • Permits or licensing obligations
  • Cancellation and refund terms
  • Marketing and promotional requirements
  • Data-sharing or lead retrieval terms
  • Conduct and participation standards
     
Sponsor, exhibitor, vendor, and partner participation is not confirmed until payment is received and/or a written agreement has been signed, if required by SYNDICATE.

Failure to comply with payment deadlines, event rules, venue requirements, or participation terms may result in removal from the event without refund.

5. Liability Waiver and Assumption of Risk

By attending or participating in SYNDICATE SF & LA TECH WEEK EVENTS, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with attendance and participation, including but not limited to:
 
  • Personal injury
  • Illness
  • Property loss
  • Theft
  • Travel delays
  • Venue-related incidents
  • Weather-related issues
  • Third-party conduct
  • Interactions with attendees, sponsors, exhibitors, vendors, partners, speakers, or staff
  • Participation in event activities, demos, workshops, activations, or networking sessions
     
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SYNDICATE, its owners, officers, directors, employees, contractors, affiliates, partners, sponsors, vendors, venues, and representatives are not liable for any injury, illness, damages, losses, theft, expenses, claims, or other incidents arising from or related to your attendance, participation, travel to or from the event, or use of event-related services.

6. Code of Conduct

All attendees, sponsors, exhibitors, vendors, speakers, partners, and participants are expected to conduct themselves respectfully and professionally.
Prohibited conduct includes but is not limited to:
 
  • Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, or threatening behavior
  • Violence or threats of violence
  • Disruptive or disorderly conduct
  • Unauthorized solicitation or sales activity
  • Unauthorized recording, filming, or photography in restricted areas
  • Misuse of event credentials
  • Damage to venue or event property
  • Failure to follow instructions from event staff, security, venue personnel, or law enforcement
     
SYNDICATE reserves the right to remove anyone who violates this Code of Conduct without refund.

7. Photography, Video, Media & Publicity Release

By attending SYNDICATE SF & LA TECH WEEK EVENTS, you acknowledge and agree that photography, video, audio recording, livestreaming, and other media capture may take place during the event.

You grant SYNDICATE, its affiliates, partners, sponsors, media partners, and authorized representatives the right to capture, use, reproduce, publish, distribute, edit, and display your name, image, likeness, voice, company name, title, and participation in event-related content, marketing materials, social media, press, promotional campaigns, recaps, advertisements, and future event materials without additional compensation, approval, or notice.

If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, please notify event staff in writing before attending. SYNDICATE will make reasonable efforts to accommodate requests but cannot guarantee exclusion from all event media.

8. Communications and Partner Follow-Up

By registering for, purchasing a ticket to, sponsoring, exhibiting at, vending at, or attending SYNDICATE SF & LA TECH WEEK EVENTS, you agree that SYNDICATE, StartupStarter, and authorized event partners may contact you regarding:
 
  • Event updates
  • Registration details
  • Ticketing or billing matters
  • Sponsorship, exhibitor, vendor, or partnership opportunities
  • Startup, investor, founder, operator, and ecosystem programming
  • Future SYNDICATE, StartupStarter, or partner events
  • Relevant programs, offers, introductions, newsletters, or business opportunities
     
You may unsubscribe from marketing communications where applicable. Transactional, registration, ticketing, billing, or event-related communications may still be sent as necessary.

9. Data, Networking, and Attendee Information

SYNDICATE events are designed to support curated networking, startup-investor connections, ecosystem partnerships, and business development opportunities.

By registering for or attending the event, you acknowledge that certain registration information may be used for event operations, attendee experience, check-in, networking, sponsor reporting, partner coordination, and post-event follow-up, subject to applicable privacy laws and SYNDICATE’s privacy practices.

SYNDICATE will not knowingly sell sensitive personal information. Attendee information may be shared with event partners, sponsors, or service providers where appropriate for event operations, lead retrieval, networking, or follow-up related to the event.

10. Venue Rules, Safety, and Security

All attendees and participants must comply with venue rules, security procedures, access restrictions, and applicable laws.

SYNDICATE and/or the venue may conduct bag checks, credential checks, ID checks, or other security procedures. Prohibited items may be confiscated, and individuals who refuse to comply with security procedures may be denied entry or removed without refund.

11. Force Majeure

SYNDICATE is not responsible for delays, modifications, postponements, cancellations, losses, or damages caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:
 
  • Severe weather
  • Natural disasters
  • Public health emergencies
  • Government restrictions
  • Venue issues
  • Labor disputes
  • Power outages
  • Transportation disruptions
  • Acts of terrorism
  • Civil unrest
  • Supplier, vendor, or third-party failures
  • Technical failures
  • Any other circumstance outside SYNDICATE’s reasonable control
     
In such cases, SYNDICATE may modify, postpone, reschedule, relocate, or cancel the event at its discretion.

12. Agreement to Terms

By purchasing a ticket, registering for, sponsoring, exhibiting at, vending at, or attending SYNDICATE SF & LA TECH WEEK EVENTS, you acknowledge that:
 
  • You have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions
  • You understand that all sales are final unless otherwise stated in writing
  • You understand the refund, cancellation, transfer, and chargeback policy
  • You agree to contact SYNDICATE directly for any billing, refund, cancellation, or event-related issue before filing a dispute with your bank or card issuer
  • You agree to comply with all event policies, venue rules, and staff instructions
  • You understand that failure to comply may result in denial of entry or removal without refund
